In addition to MMS, we now also support rolling GIFS. The maximum file size for a GIF is 490 KB. At a medium quality, this gives you five seconds of rolling animation, which might equate to ten frames. Realistically, you wouldn’t want to fire out a text message with dozens of frames anyways. This is the perfect size for a mobile GIF campaign.

Similar to the pricing model for our regular picture messages, gif animations will use three times as many messages per text. Here’s how to insert a GIF into your text message campaign.

  1. Hop into your account, and click Send a Message.
  2. After filling out your campaign name, selecting your textword list, and typing up the message, select the camera icon underneath the message box.
  3. Browse through your files, and select a GIF of your choosing.
  4. Proofread the entire message, and send it. If you’re ahead of the game, schedule it for a later date.

GIFS are the “in” thing right now. Especially if you’re marketing to millennials, this visual trend is sure to capture their attention. We highly recommend giving GIF messaging a try.
