Hooters has long used text marketing to bring awareness to its brand, however the company has recently added an improved strategy to its marketing scheme during a recent Super Bowl themed campaign.
State of Text helped Hooters kick off this text marketing campaign. Customers needed to text the keyword ‘football’ to the short code provided. When they did they received an entry into an exciting contest to win a trip for two people to the Super Bowl!
With this campaign Hooters was able to identify customers who liked football, helping them customize their database and target a specific type of customer in the future.
The campaign helped the brand bring 50,000 new names to their text database.
As already stated, Hooter has long been a participant in text message marketing. In 2001 they used mobile bar codes together with their social media page to bring more awareness to the brand. Another campaign offered a trip for two to the destination of your choosing, with entry via text messaging.
