How Do I Purchase My Own Shortcode?
SlickText can help with the provisioning process to get you a dedicated shortcode instead of using one of the available shared shortcode numbers. A shortcode is simply just a 5-6 digit number that has been approved by the carriers to be used for mass texting. As the carriers approve shortcode use, there is a "provisioning process," which can take from 6-8 weeks. We can do all of the work for you, making the provisioning process as seamless as possible.
There are 2 types of shortcode numbers which can be provisioned for you to use for mass text messaging. There is the option for a Random Short Code, where the number provisioned is random; and there is the option for a Vanity Short Code, where the number is chosen by you. The difference between the two comes down to cost.
