Ask your cohorts for their opinion. Don’t try to be the hero in 2015. A successful business functions efficiently as a moving unit. Ask all employees about major decisions, even down to the office janitor. The success of the company has a direct effect on everyone involved, no person should be left out of your annual plans.
3. Do your research.
Before launching any marketing campaign, or working towards any long term goal, do your due diligence. Make sure your moves make sense for the company, and will promote success in the long term. Know who your target audience is, and understand how you can provide them value.
4. Have weekly data overviews.
Some companies are obsessed with analyzing the front end, but forget about reviewing all the back end data. Instead of having team meetings reviewing the new logo or creative direction, discuss the bottom line. Keep everyone involved in this conversation. When employees understand how the business is growing, they will have a better understanding of how their actions play a part in this growth.
5. Set small daily goals that will help you reach large milestones.
Rome wasn’t built in a day. You hear that every year, but for some reason, still have a hard time making this advice stick. If you set small daily goals, you will accomplish big things. For example, say you want to get 1,000 new Instagram followers in 3 months. Might sound lofty, but if you break it down into daily action, that’s only about 12 new followers a day over a period of 90 days. Seems pretty achievable right?
