Text Marketing Textword Help.

You've got questions. We've got answers....Isn't that from a commercial?

So what exactly is a textword?

A textword is a keyword or phrase that has to do with your business or organization that represents a "mailing list" of people. Once you reserve a textword, it's yours and no-one else can take it. Once it's reserved, people can then start texting your textword to "31996" to sign up for that particular list. Then when it comes time for you to send a mass text message out, you just select which textword list you want to send the blast to. Your textword will be prepended to the message you're sending so people will know where the message is coming from.

So we have a few tips for you with regards to your textwords:
• They should be short! Remember, most of the time your customers will be signing up for your list by sending your textword to your number. Make it as easy as possible for them!
• Make it relevant to your business or organization. As you can see in the picture above, the textword will be prepended to the message so people have an idea about where the message is coming from and what it's about.
• Textwords can be multiple words long. We don't recommend them to be more than 3 words at most. Again this is to help make it easy for the customer.
• Don't worry about capitalization of the textwords. Our system will recognize it whether it contains caps or not.
