When is it appropriate to send a mass text?
If you’re new to text message marketing and advertising, you’ll most likely be a little excited and possible a bit trigger happy with how many mass texts you want to send out. Try not to let the latter of the two get the best of ya! There are definitely times when sending a text is appropriate and other times when it might be better to hold off. Keep these things in mind:
- Stick to the number of messages you told your subscribers they’d be receiving. Spam sucks. Be courteous.
- Think about how important the ad is. Will the recipients believe the content is truly valuable? Don’t simply send a message out because you have messages left this month. Use your head when deciding which promotions are worth your customers receiving on their phones and which ones aren’t.
- Think about the last time you sent a message out. If you sent one yesterday, should you be texting them again today?
